What it is, in one paragraph

The Zildjian Travis Barker signature drumstick (SKU ZASTB) is a hickory stick designed with Blink-182's Travis Barker as part of Zildjian's Artist Series drumstick line. Sixteen and three-eighths inches long, 0.595 inch diameter, short taper, round wood tip, white-painted finish with the Travis Barker signature graphic. The shaft is the same diameter as a Vic Firth 5B but longer, with a shorter taper that trades some flex for a more front-heavy, durable feel, good for reach across Travis's wide DW kit. The round wood tip gives even cymbal articulation. The white finish is the visual signature, recognizable from any seat in the venue, the stick that gets thrown into the crowd at the end of a Blink set.

Who Travis Barker is, briefly

Travis Barker (born November 14, 1975, Fontana, California) has been Blink-182's drummer since 1998. The band's catalog from Enema of the State (1999) through One More Time… (2023) is anchored by his pocket. He's the drummer + co-founder of +44, Box Car Racer, Transplants, and the producer behind much of the 2020s pop-punk revival (Machine Gun Kelly, Avril Lavigne, Yungblud, posthumous Lil Peep). Long-documented Zildjian signature artist on cymbals + drumsticks, DW signature artist on drums, Remo signature artist on heads. Full profile at /drummers/travis-barker.

Spec sheet

Zildjian Travis Barker ZASTB spec

Wood
American hickory. Zildjian's selected hickory billet for grain consistency. Denser than maple, lighter than oak.
Length
16-3/8 inches (16.37", ~416mm). About 3/8 inch longer than a stock 5B at 16 inches. Reach gain across a wide rock kit.
Diameter
0.595 inches (~15.1mm). Identical shaft diameter to a Vic Firth 5B; noticeably thinner than the 0.625" Zildjian Tré Cool Artist Series.
Taper
Short. Per Vic Firth's taper glossary, a short taper trades flex for a front-heavy feel with more power and durability, the opposite of a long taper's back-heavy, faster-rebound character.
Tip shape
Round wood. Symmetrical. Even articulation across cymbal contact points and snare-batter strikes. Less directional than tear drop, oval, or acorn tips.
Finish
White-painted with Travis Barker signature graphic. The visual signature; visible from any seat in the venue.

Correction: Tré Cool's actual signature stick is a Zildjian, not a Vater model, per CYS's own corrected catalog entry. It's also not a close dimensional twin to the Travis Barker stick, at 0.625 inch diameter it's noticeably thicker than either the Travis Barker or a Vic Firth 5B. The Travis Barker stick's real dimensional twin on diameter is the 5B (both 0.595"); on length it's in the middle of this table, longer than either Vic Firth stick (16") but shorter than the Tré Cool ZASTR (16-1/2"). Pick Travis Barker for reach plus stage-visible white paint, Tré Cool for the thickest shaft and biggest acorn-tip cymbal voice, 5B for the unadorned rock baseline.

What the stick is built for

The Travis Barker spec reflects how he plays:

  • Reach across a wide DW kit. Travis's stage rig spreads the ride, crashes, and chinas further from the snare than a club kit; the extra length over a stock 5B (16-3/8" vs 16") matters across that geometry.
  • Hard-hitting backbeat survival. The 0.595 inch shaft (same diameter as a 5B, noticeably thinner than the 0.625" Tré Cool signature) paired with a short taper holds up to rim-shot snare work while staying fast enough for the linear ghost-note patterns Travis layers under choruses.
  • Even cymbal articulation. The round tip gives consistent voice on ride, crash, hi-hat, and bell. Travis's right-hand cymbal work is dense; an even-voiced tip matters.
  • Stage visibility + showmanship. The white finish is the signature; Travis throws sticks throughout a Blink set, and a recognizable stick becomes part of merch and crowd-interaction memory. Functional choice, not just branding.

Verdict and the affiliate hook

If you want the actual stick Travis Barker plays with Blink-182, the Zildjian Travis Barker Artist Series (ZASTB) is it. Hickory, 16-3/8 inch length, 0.595 inch diameter, short taper, round wood tip, white-painted finish. For a hard-hitting pop-punk drummer with a wide kit and active cymbal work, the spec lands. For a finger-control jazz player or brushwork-heavy session player, this isn't the stick to start with, go 5A. If you want more mass under your hand, the Zildjian Tré Cool Artist Series is thicker at 0.625 inch with an acorn tip; both are valid rock-stick choices in the same lane.
