Zildjian Travis Barker signature drumstick review: Blink-182's signature white-finish hickory

The Zildjian Travis Barker signature drumstick (SKU ZASTB) is a hickory stick designed with Blink-182's Travis Barker as part of Zildjian's Artist Series drumstick line. Sixteen and three-eighths inches long, 0.595 inch diameter, short taper, round wood tip, white-painted finish with the Travis Barker signature graphic. The shaft is the same diameter as a Vic Firth 5B but longer, with a shorter taper that trades some flex for a more front-heavy, durable feel, good for reach across Travis's wide DW kit. The round wood tip gives even cymbal articulation. The white finish is the visual signature, recognizable from any seat in the venue, the stick that gets thrown into the crowd at the end of a Blink set.

Correction: Tré Cool's actual signature stick is a Zildjian, not a Vater model, per CYS's own corrected catalog entry. It's also not a close dimensional twin to the Travis Barker stick, at 0.625 inch diameter it's noticeably thicker than either the Travis Barker or a Vic Firth 5B. The Travis Barker stick's real dimensional twin on diameter is the 5B (both 0.595"); on length it's in the middle of this table, longer than either Vic Firth stick (16") but shorter than the Tré Cool ZASTR (16-1/2"). Pick Travis Barker for reach plus stage-visible white paint, Tré Cool for the thickest shaft and biggest acorn-tip cymbal voice, 5B for the unadorned rock baseline.
